Hey there my fellow wanderers of the internet ether,
I have some great news to share!
Last Sunday the very funny Kathryn Mather and I hosted a small but mighty crowd at Aces & Eights for our A Night of Comedy Kathryns. Even though there was the rare world's cup game on at a decent GST for anyone that's not interested in getting or staying up until stupid o'clock to watch games going on in North America on at the same time as our show, it went very well. (BTW, I have to say, I'm quite proud of how my alma mater Kansas University and the town of Lawrence in Kansas has taken to hosting the Algerian team. )
There were many laughs and a great time was had by all at Aces & Eights. Kathryn and I handed out our Watching EastEnders From the Very Beginning colouring zines featuring some of the original characters of the soap opera. I made them myself, thank you very much! I'm quite proud of the result. What the zines lack in polish and expertise is made up for with heaps of heart and they are great fun to give to people who seem to be delighted to get one. And as my Edinburgh Fringe wife of many years said when I showed Ian Fox the first one, "it's surprising how much work goes into something so low tech" I always have at least one on my person so If you want one, let me know, I'll get it to you.

I am really happy to see zines making a comeback as a barbed response to the technological advances aimed at making humans obsolete. Zines feel like a folded note passed in class when the teacher's not looking…I like the spirit of benevolent rebellion it represents….
The great big news is: Kathryn Mather and I will be doing Dark Comedy Kathryns at Top Secret Comedy Club in Drury Lane 12 November 6:00pm!
It's a show where two of the sharpest and darkest comedians on the UK circuit who share the name 'Kathryn" and host @LAFSUK podcast "Watching EastEnders From the Very Beginning together bring their signature blends of stand up together for a night of deliciously dark comedy and you're invited! We are really excited and proud of this show and can't wait for you to see it.
